As a business, we are currently progressing through an exciting period of growth and as part of our exciting expansion plans, we currently have an opportunity to hire a Production Technician for our BBI Solutions division. The role will be based at our Global Headquarters in Crumlin, South Wales and is an annual salary of £17,500.

BBI Solutions has served the global diagnostics industry for over 50 years, as a leading developer and manufacturer of raw materials and finished test platforms for the in-vitro diagnostics market.

The Role

As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and assembly of rapid tests within the laboratory.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Manufacture of Rapid Tests sub components
  • Completion of quality records
  • Service, calibration and operation of key production equipment associated with the manufacture of Rapid Tests and Components
  • Compliance with BBI’s quality system requirements
  • Completion of daily cleaning checks and records
  • Responsible for maintaining individual training record
  • Adherence to all SOPs, Health & Safety regulations and relevant documents
  • Labelling, reconciliation, packing and finishing of Rapid Test components
  • Meet production targets
  • Participation in Validation activities and equipment / process failure investigations / troubleshooting as required

Requirements

As a Production Technician you will be a strong team player, with a positive attitude and good customer service skills. We are looking for someone who has a general interest in the medical devices sector who either has some industry experience or an applied science qualification.

You will need strong attention to detail skills along with numeracy and literacy. Previous lab experience is preferred along with routine maintenance of lab equipment.
