Business Development Manager - Antibody Services (US - West Coast)

As a business, we are currently progressing through an exciting period of growth and as part of our exciting expansion plans, we currently have an opportunity to hire a Business Development Manager for our BBI Solutions division. The role will be based home in the US, preferably on the West Coast.

BBI Solutions has served the global diagnostics industry for over 50 years, as a leading developer and manufacturer of raw materials and finished test platforms for the in-vitro diagnostics market.

The Role

As a Business development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing the portfolio of Antibody Services for BBI and any identified accounts to achieve systematic growth to meet the Commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for all accounts with the interest and implement agreed Sales Strategy to reach the agreed financial and strategic goals
  • Submit a monthly report providing updates KPI’s information and client status 
  • Ensure all KPI’s are achieved monthly
  • Attend weekly Sales Meetings and interact with other departments as required
  • Provide timely forecasts of customer requirements into the S&OP plan
  • Work with marketing and Product Management teams to implement develop and targeted campaign 
  • Work with Product Manager to ensure negotiated contract benefits are fulfilled
  • Identify and execute new business plans to expand the OEM manufacturing portfolio
  • Cross sell and upsell in every customer meeting and create opportunities for the correct sales person to ensure the business exceeds plan on a month by month basis


As a Business Development Manager, you will have previous experience in professional sales along with a string technical understanding of antibody services, immunoassays and / or the IVD industry.

You will have the ability to create compelling strong commercial proposals and presentations in complex sales environments. You will also need to demonstrate your ability to close new business acquisitions and manage the sales cycle.
